This film image was shot to display the new statue on top of the Kansas Statehouse. It was shot the first day the statue was in place because within a week the bronze color would change to a nasty green as it began to weather. I wanted to get the moon in the photo simply because I like the 600mm perspective with both foreground and background. I determined when the moon would be at the proper location in the sky (by trial and error) and waited until the tip of the bow was overlapping the crescent of the moon.
