This is a Trans Am Javelin using a Scalextric Camaro chassis. The body kit was built and packaged by Scottrik, AKA "noisymuse".

I decided to paint mine solid red, you can choose your own way.

First thing was to drill the body for the chassis mount screws. The instructions said not to use a power drill, I did using a sharp bit and tape to keep the depth regulated just to screw length.

Next I ran the original Scalextric camaro screws in and out of the holes to make final assembly easier.

The second step was to trim the chassis front lower fenders and valance off and remove the rear valance behind the gas tank.

I used a Dremel Razor saw for the cuts, and my dremel rotary tool w/ a sanding disk for the fine trimming.

Then I sanded it to square off the rear, smooth out the cuts and round out the front corners out a bit.

Chassis fits perfect now on the mounts inside the body.

Next step was to add some little thin extension plastic parts to the front and rear of the interior to fill in the greenhouse area.
Then I painted the areas flat black.

I'm happy with the car, it turned out ok, and is different than all the camaros and mustangs.

I may decide to strip and repaint at a later date, for now however a solid red Javelin is fine by me.
