Membership In BRN

Birth Resource Network offers four types of membership:

bulletActive Members ~ Open to trained doulas practicing independently, with no formal business relationships with any other doulas or doula groups. Meeting attendance requirement: 4 meetings/yr. certified doulas, 7 meetings/yr. uncertified doulas. Dues: $40/year.
bulletNon-participating Members ~ Open to trained doulas practicing independently, with no formal business relationships with any other doulas or doula groups. No meeting attendance requirement.  Dues: $100/year.
bulletSupporting Membership ~ Open to non-practicing doulas and other individuals interested in supporting doulas and Birth Resource Network. No meeting attendance requirement. Dues: $40/year.
bulletProfessional Membership - Open to professionals who support doulas and family friendly birth. No meeting attendance requirement. Dues: $50/year.

The Birth Resource Network practicing doulas have agreed to follow DONA's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice when providing Doula services and to be listed in our Doula-Directory.
All newly joining practicing members will need to sign and return to us a copy of DONA's Code of Ethics and DONA's Standards of Practice.

Membership Application Requests

You can now access our Membership Application and Renewal Forms online, print them directly to your printer and then send them in. Just click on the links below.
These files are in pdf format and you will need the free Acrobat Reader or similar application to access these files (you can download the Acrobat Reader here for free).

New Members: The first two pages of the Application package are for your information. Please sign and  return the Membership Application, Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice to BRN if you would like to join. Thank you.

Renewing Members: Please take the time to fill out and include the Membership Renewal Form with the payment of your membership fee. It will keep us up to date on any changes in your contact information. Thank you.
