The 6th Annual Blues Society of Tulsa Blues Challenge will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009 at VFW Post 577 @ 1109 E. 6th Street!
Entry deadline is August 31, 2009!
 
This contest is essentially a competition to help us to decide who our Band and Duo/Solo Act representatives in Memphis at the 2010 International Blues Challenge will be... where they'll be "Looking For Tomorrow's Stars Today!
 
Awards will be presented to the winners on the night of the event!
 
FYI: While we cannot guarantee anything, VFW Post 577, Chautauqua Hills Blues Festival, Bixby Blues & BBQ Festival, Stillwater Blues Festival, Ozark Blues Society's Annual Blues 'N The Natural State, and The Oklahoma Blues Fest have worked with us in the past to feature BST Blues Challenge winning bands and duo/solo acts at their events & festivals.

Scoring is based on four categories: Blues Content, Talent, Originality, and Stage Presence.

A total of 110 points are possible. Blues Content has a multiplier of            4 X 10 possible points; Talent has a multiplier of 3 X 10 possible points; Originality and Stage Presence have multipliers of 2 x 10 possible points each.

Only rule is, not to run over allotted time. The penalty is 1 point for every 10 seconds the act goes over the allotted time.

We follow the same guidelines as the International Blues Challenge.
