Task

In a group of four, you will have the responsibility to research four different mathematicians that have influenced math over time.   Each person will be responsible for one mathematician, each from a contrasting culture or civilization. You will pick one mathematician from each of the following categories:

• One of European descent
• One of Middle Eastern or Indian descent
• One of Asian descent
• One woman

Once all your research is completed, you and your "Dream Team" will compile a Poster board of all your findings and present it to the class.

Have no fear if Math is not your strength.   You are being asked to investigate Mathematicians; you do not have to be able to do what they have done.
