DREAMLAND VILLA ARTS AND CRAFTS CLUB

The purpose of the club is to provide an outlet for members of Dreamland Villa Community Club to display and sell items they have created. Members of the Arts and Crafts Club must be members in good standing of Dreamland Villa Community Club.

The club sponsors four fairs a year that are open to the public. Fairs for the 2003-2004 season are scheduled for November 1, 2003, December 6, 2003, January 24, 2004 and March 6, 2004. Fairs are held at Farnsworth Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Club meetings are held the first Tuesday following a fair at 8 a.m. at Farnsworth Hall. Meetings for 2003-2004 are scheduled for October 21, 2003, November 6, 2003, December 9, 2003, January 27, 2004 and March 9, 2004.

Club members are required to attend the business meetings unless previously excused. An unexcused absence from a meeting can result in the member forfeiting the table he/she had been assigned. All members are expected to participate in the "work of the club", i.e. serve as officers, serve on committees, and assist with flier distribution, etc.

All items to be displayed for sale at the fairs must have been created by the individual requesting table space and must have previously been approved by the membership or the Show Chairman. We try to avoid duplication of items at the fairs. Copying and/or duplication of items is prohibited unless the involved individuals have previously agreed that such copying or duplication is mutually acceptable.

We do not have membership dues. Members are anyone who wishes to participate in the Arts and Crafts Fairs and are members in good standing of Dreamland Villa Community Club. There is a nominal fee for table space at the fairs and participants are requested to donate an item valued at $10 or more for each table they occupy at a fair. These items must be items currently being presented for sale at the fair and are raffled off during the fair hours.

We welcome guest participants but the number of guests is limited by the number of tables available. The requirements for guest participants are the same as for members except that they are not members of Dreamland Villa Community Club. We feel that guest participants greatly enhance the variety of items we are able to offer those attending the fairs. Guest participants are encouraged to attend the club meetings and participate in the "work of the club", but cannot hold an office in the club.

Officers are elected for two year terms and elections are staggered so there is not a totally new board at one time.
