Organ music by Dottie Bagshaw preceded the meeting. Invocation given by Rev. Bob Rae. Jim Quinn led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance and in singing God Bless America.

President Jim Cook introduced the Honorable Donald Stapley, Supervisor, 2nd District. Stapley gave a very informative talk as did Kevin Ross, County Assessor. Many questions were answered by Stapley and his entourage.

General meeting was opened by President Cook. It was moved by Robert Andersen, seconded by Dick Young to accept the March 14, 2000 minutes as printed.

Treasurer's report given by Russ Peck, who also presented the budget for 2001. Emmett Wenzel stated the dues for 2001 would remain the same as in 2000.

Proposed changes to the DVCC by-laws were read by Mary Anne Glauner. They will be voted on in February.

A DVCC Activities Day to be held January 6, 2001, was discussed by Mary Anne Glauner.

Syb Gullickson polled the audience to see if there was any interest in holding an Easter Sunrise Service at the Farnsworth Hall Bandshell. It appeared there was little interest in this project.

Syb Gullickson moved to spend a total of $32,000 to upgrade the Bocci Ball Courts. The motion designates $6,000 from the 2000 budget, $17,000 from the 2001 budget and $9,000 from monies which have been previously set aside for this project. Seconded by Bill Vorsatz.

A very heated discussion was held on this motion. Dorothy Jones moved to table this motion until the next General Meeting, Seconded by Francis Skaggs. Motion was defeated. It was then moved by John Skaggs, seconded by Bill Vorsatz to assess each member $20.00 to pay for this project. Motion was defeated

The motion to spend $32,000 to upgrade the Bocci Ball courts carried by a vote of 69-53.
