I purchased my domain name from Buy Domains on October 24th, 2001, but didn't actually get started publishing pages with "content" until February 2002.  In August 2004, I found that GoDaddy offered all of the same services at half the price, so I've been using them for all of my registrar needs.

The majority of this site has been created on my home computer.  My internet connection is via cable modem provided by Cox High Speed Internet.  I originally created this site using AOLPress 32-bit v2.0.  A wonderful little program I first employed when it was called NaviPress, then GNNPress, during the mid-90s (back when my site was called Bitchin' Bob Grande's).  And despite being written for Win95, and having an HTML WYSIWYG editor that's a bit out of date, AOLPress is still extremely helpful to those just starting out.  Sadly, AOL no longer offers it for download.  However, after a quick Google search I found two sites from which you can still download AOLPress for free: here and here.  A note to beginners: Remember to test your pages in either Internet Explorer and/or Netscape (either at versions 4+) before publishing them.

With this most recent incarnation of my site (established May 2004) I'm using more "advanced" HTML, JavaScripting, and CSS, and it's just become more convenient to write my code in Window's Notepad.  To test view my pages I only use Internet Explorer.  For optimal viewing pleasure (ie to see the site exactly the way I do) you'll want to make sure you are using a Medium Text Size in IE v6.0.26, with a screen resolution of 1024x768.  Although I do try to make the site easily viewable to anyone using an 800x600 display setting.  Please notify me immediately if you notice anything unreadable or terribly out of alignment.

I use Paint Shop Pro v6.01 to design my custom headers and banners.  When uploading files to the Cox server I use WS_FTP LE.   It is an easy, yet powerful, FTP program, and though IPSwitch no longer offers the free LE version, they do offer various demos.  My Blog is "Powered by Blogger.com!"

Most of the HTML and graphic techniques that you will see at this site I taught myself using various sources including books and other Web pages.  However, over the years I've been given various pointers and lessons from C.J. Gilbert, Larry Hale, Tommaso Sciortino, and Vito Delarosa.

I consider this site to be Organic Material, it's always a "Work-in-Progress" and "Under Construction."  I usually make changes slowly, adding new content as I find/make time and/or am inspired to do so.  If you have any suggestions or questions as to the design of this site, send me an e-mail.  All suggestions are welcome and appreciated!  Otherwise, thanks for visiting, and keep an eye out for future changes.

Other sites I maintain:

- The Clemins Family Link Page.
- The Maestro's Shadow.
- The Felonius Northstar: Thief of Knowledge Home Page.
