This Widescreen two-disc set was the only way to get the original theatrical edition of the movie.  There are also some Special Features only available here. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings (Platinum Series Special Extended DVD Edition). This four-disc set includes the Special Extended version of the movie with over 30 minutes of never-before-seen footage as well as a ton of added Special Features. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings (Collector's Five-DVD Gift Set). The Gift Set includes the Platinum Edition (above), National Geographic disc (below), a pair of Argonath bookends, and an assortment of other stuff. The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (Theatrical and Extended Limited Edition). This two-disc set includes both the original theatrical edition and the extended editions in Widescreen format.  Also included is the never before released Costa Botes Documentary. The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers (Full Screen Edition). Does anyone actually buy Fullscreen? The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers (Widescreen Edition).
