Update 12/26/06 - Thank you all who generously gave me gifts this year. I got fewer phyiscal gifts than in
some previous years, but I don't mind a bidt. I got to spend more time with family, however virtually, and that was great!
Amazon has improved their Wishlist feature.
I can now display the whole list on one page,
link to pages for separate categories, and I can add comments to each listing. Most
importantly, Amazon now allows me to
add a "Priority" Level to my selections:
Priority 1 = Must have.
Priority 2 = I'd love to have.
Priority 3 = Like to have.
Priority 4 = I'm thinking about it.
Priority 5 = Don't buy this for me.
By default, my lists will show the highest Priority (the items I want the most) at the top.
Here is my complete Amazon Wishlist.
DVDs
(Movies)
Here is my updated Amazon DVD Wishlist.
Here you can take a look at the DVDs I already own.
(The wish list is current, but the Owned list is out-of-date.)
Music
There are no CDs that I want at this time, but I would love an iTunes Music Store Card.
Any denomination would be fine. You can buy them online
or at places like Best Buy and
Target. (Make sure to get only iTunes
cards, as I can not use cards for Napster, MSNMusic, or other online music sources.)
Books
(including Gamebooks)
Here is my Amazon Book Wishlist.
The list includes GURPS Bio-Tech,
a gamebook by Steve Jackson Games.
Amazon is the cheapest place to get this, though
it may take extra time. It's also sometimes possible to special order the books
(using the ISBN) at Barnes and Noble
(Grossmont Mall 619-667-2870, Santee 619-562-1755). Often they can be found in San Diego at either Game Empire
(858-576-1525) or GameTowne (619-291-1666). The listed GURPS Ultra-Tech
is not due out until January, though you could pre-order it for me.
Funding
(Cash / Gift Cards / Gift Certificates)
Either liquid or semi-liquid, money is ALWAYS welcome...
Excellent sources for Gift Cards / Gift Certificates include: Best Buy,
CityLights,
iTunes,
Michaels,
Whitewater Voyages (Rafting),
Target, and
Westfield Shopping Malls.
You can also send "gift certificiates" on-line via Amazon.com
and eBay.
Rolls of pennies, nickels, dimes, and/or quarters make excellent Stocking Stuffers!
U.S. paper money, of any denomination(s), is great. I'm not picky. <grin>
Clothes
(Geek Chic / Renaissance Gear / Mundane)
Here is my Amazon Apparel Wishlist.
I am interested in these items from The Renaissance Store:
Glove Deerskin Long Cuff Medium Black - $55, Product Code: AIQ-M-BLK
Scottish-Style Leather Pouch Brown Cowhi - $55, Product Code: AIP-BRN-CHD
Long Cloak W/Hood Twill 1-Sz Black - $125, Product Code ACV-1SZ-BLK
To buy these items, go to renstore.com
and put the product codes through the Power Search (linked on the left-side of the page).
Orders for the above, and for Gift Cards, can also be made by calling (800) 730-5464.
I do not need any new pants this year, although socks and shirts are always useful. For
socks, I prefer the Hanes Ultra Comfort Crew
available at Target (El Cajon 619-442-9641,
Santee 619-449-9682), but will happily take any kind of generic white crew/mid-length "sweat sock."
For shirts, I like polo and mock-turtleneck (not regular turtleneck) styles best,
particularlly favoring the kind that are "textured" or "ribbed." My favorite colors (in order)
are green, blue, beige and black. Size in all shirts is X-Large (I do not know my measurements
in inches). These are some custom printed shirts I'd LOVE to have:
42 Work Shirt.
Geek Love Poem T-shirt.
