South America and Cape Horn

In  the late fall of 2002 we flew to Buenos Aires and boarded the ship Zenith of Celebrity Cruise Lines.  Over a period of fourteen days we circled the southern tip of South America stopping in ports along the way in both Argentina and Chile.  When we reached the Horn the sea was calm and the sun was out.  It was early summer there and the fierce  reputation of terrible weather didn't prevail.  No one seemed to mind however and a crowd soon collected at the pool topside to 'swim around the Horn!'
