Once you have registered your nick you can register your channel.

ChanServ allows you to register and control various aspects of channels. ChanServ can often prevent malicious users from "taking over" channels by limiting who is allowed channel operator priviliges. Any channel which is not used for 14 days will be automatically dropped. There are a number of commands for ChanServ.
To get a list of commands, type /msg chanserv help.
For more information on a specific command,
type /msg chanserv help "command".

To register a channel the first thing you do is register your nick and/or identify. Then you join your channel. If you op in that channel it isn't registered to someone else.
Now you can register it with chanserv by typing
/msg chanserv register "channel password description".

Example: Let's say you want to register the channel #MyRoom and you want the password for that channel to be dillweed. Type
/msg chanserv register #MyRoom dillweed My Channel Rocks, or the description of your choice.
Now your channel is registered, and you are the founder.
