Services - NickServ

Before you can use the other services available on ThugEmpire,
ChanServ, MemoServ and BotServ, you have to register your nickname.

NickServ allows you to register a nickname and prevent others from using it. If the nick is not used for 30 days, the registration will expire. The are a number of commands that allow for registration and maintenance of nicknames. To get a list of commands,
type /msg nickserv help.
For more information on a specific command,
type /msg nickserv help "command".

To register your nick you type /msg nickserv register "yourpass".

Example: Let's say you want to register the nick Dork and you want the password for that nick to be dillweed.
You would first type /nick Dork to change your nick to Dork.
Then type /msg nickserv register dillweed.
Now your nick will be registered !!

Now when you log onto ThugEmpire with your registered nick you will get this message:

This nickname is registered and protected. If it is your
nick, type /msg NickServ IDENTIFY password. Otherwise,
please choose a different nick.

In this case you would type /msg nickserv identify dillweed.
