The Story:
I started playing drums when I was about 13 or 14.
My first set of drums was a sheet of metal from an erector set screwed on to the end of a golf club. (That was my cymbal)
My drums were a set of bongo drums.
In High School I played in a rock and roll band in Phoenix called The Glass Menagerie. We played English Rock; Kinks, Hollies, Yardbirds, Beatles etc.
After High School I didn't play drums much.  I picked up the guitar and stated playing in a folk group at church.  As years passed I only played at home for family and friends.
I developed a taste for singers like Neal Young,
Cat Stevens and Steve Goodman. I started plying the harmonica to accompany myself on the guitar.
I started playing keyboard along the way, and also play
a little on a Native American Flute.
I enjoy all types of music, from New Age to Country,
Blues, Jazz, and of course, Rock and Roll.
About 9 years ago Deb & I discovered a local blues band called Big Nick and the Gila Monsters.  We started to follow them and eventually became friends with the band members.  I had an opportunity to jam on the drums with the band at a party one night.  It was a total gas and brought back a lot of memories.  It also lit a fire in me to play again.  In the fall of 2003 Big Nick needed a substitute drummer for a  couple of gigs, and asked me to fill in.  I played at Chars Has The Blues,
a local blues club and a couple other gigs for them.
The fire was lit! That is when I decided I wanted to play again.  I purchased this set and played with a couple of local blues bands, then the first part of 2006 and met and began playing with a terrific band called Fools Life.
