ColonialBeekeepers.com
The Colonial Beekeepers Association is a group of beekeepers from the peninsula and middle peninsula areas. Members range from as far south as Hampton, to as far north as Croaker, to as far east as Middlesex and all points between.
Our purposes are many but include:
- Enjoying the wonders of nature
- To foster the keeping, efficient management and preservation of honey bees
- Providing pollination for local agriculture
- To inform our members and our communities of the ecological and economic benefits of honey bee culture
- To educate the members in the science and techniques of apiculture (how to be "beekeepers" and not "bee-havers")
- Harvesting honey!
Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of each month, from 7 PM until 9 PM, in the Community Center of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Grafton, VA.
