Back To Work
Well the first week I worked 4 and 6 hour days.
It was OK at first but by the end of the week I was getting real tired. I started looking forward to the
weekend. The second week I started back to my 8 hour days but I took it really easy and did not do
to much of anything. This lasted for about a month, then as I kept getting stronger and
stronger, I wanted to do more things. I know I was not healed up all the way
because every time I tried to pick up something or jump I could feel my insides telling me to STOP.
It took awhile to get that in my head
but my body never forgot. It was a good thing I was not in Heavy
Construction when I had this or I would not be able to go back for at least
3 months. There is a lot more to it than meets the eye that you never
hear about. It does pass and it beats the alternative. It sure does
feel good to be working once more,as sitting around the house is the pits.
Some of the guys told me I looked like I was in pain when I walked out at night
but being the stubborn person I am, I denied it. I had a good office job for a Hi-Tech Company that I was on loan
to so my work load was light work but lots of it. I enjoyed this job a lot and the people were really good to me.
I went on a golf outing and really hurt my stomach muscles, I tore one and I couldn't hardly do anything for awhile,
so everyone used to do what ever I needed done for me. I got so used to this and I took it so easy after this that I
became so far out of shape and I also gained a lot of weight 45 pounds to be exact. It seemed all I did was eat, work,
and sleep. I did not do any exercise or anything, I even gave up my evening walks. This was a BIG mistake as
it is really hard to lose weight at this age when you are so far out of shape.
