One of my trips to the plastic introduced me to mirrored plexiglass. This looks like the ideal material for the brain spinner. It's gray on the inside, but mirrored on the outside. |

Here it is with paper removed and half of the spinner leaves bent. |

The poor lighting makes it hard to see, but on the right is the jig I used to make all of the bends the same. With the spinner laying on the jig I used a hand torch to soften the plastic where the bends belong. |

I'm making the rest of the brain covering out of thin aluminum. Drilling and filing all those odd shaped holes really makes you appreciate the brain kits that Scott is offering. |
