Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days is the newest edition to the kingdom hearts series. It follows Roxas's days in the organization, and makes a bridge between KH: Chain of Memories and KH 2. The first three to five hours involve tutorials and simple missions with small bosses. When the story begins, you first see Roxas and friends on day 255 [though not playing]. Roxas then begins to reminisce about his first days in the organization. You go through the events from Roxas first meeting Xemnes, Xion's arrival on day 7, and learning the ropes. Then the real game begins. You run missions for the organization [sometimes with a partner] and fight heartless with your keyblade to gather hearts for Kingdom Hearts. You become friends with Axel and the mysterious 14th member, Xion, and slowly learn the organization's hidden agenda. The beginning contains A LOT of tutorials, so when it picks up after two hours, you know almost too much. A new panel system is used to set up what items, spells, special abilities, levels, and keyblade you will take on the field, and it works well, offering tons of customization options. You can purchase, make, and earn new items at the moogle shop in The Castle That Never Was [your hub world]. The graphics are amazing on the DS, with gorgeous 3D cutscenes for bigger story moments, and the intro. Gameplay is just like the PS2 versions [but without the analog stick], and works well. There is also a multiplayer [local wi-fi] mode [That I have unfortunately been unable to test]. The only complaints I have are the camera, and some off platforming, sometimes, you don't land where you want to [very little, but noticeable]. These, however, do not tarnish this excellent game, which is why I give it a 9/10. Got it memorized?-Mitch
