Both the wedding and the reception will take place at Wessex Hall in the
Williamsburg Winery in Colonial Williamsburg. Guests may begin arriving at
the Winery at 5:30; the wedding ceremony will commence at 6 pm.
Following
the wedding, guests will enjoy festive libations, fruit, and cheeses
in Susan Constant Hall from approximately 6:30 - 7:30. Guests may also
browse in the Winery gift shop. Family pictures and various other group
shots with the bridal party will also be taken during this time period. When
Wessex Hall is set up for dinner and the bridal party is done with
photographs, guests will be piped around the building to re-enter through a
receiving line. Following the receiving line, guests may find their
arranged seats, refresh their drinks, and enjoy the live Celtic music by
The Itinerant Band while waiting for the bridal
party to take their seats.
A haggis ceremony will be followed by graces and
then the wedding feast! Performances by Highland dance friends and Irish
step dancing friends and singing friends will be interspersed during dinner.
Dinner will be followed by Irish and Scottish social dancing by all willing
participants. DJ Special K will close out the evening with several hours of
his own special dance/party mix!
