On September 9, 2007, the Seventh Annual Shayna Heisman Simkin Award
was
awarded to the Best In Show recipient, Geoff Ault, for his digital photgraph, "Marchen".
The show was juried by Berthold Schmutzhart, a
Professor Emeritus of the Corcoran School of Art since 1994.
The
Art League, located in Alexandria, Virginia, has established The
Shayna
Heisman Simkin Award Program. A cash award is to be given to the
artist for "Best in Show" selected in a juried show. The first
award
was presented in November 2001 for the Black & White Show.
The
award is made annually in September.
