What's New

    On September 10, 2006, the Sixth Annual Shayna Heisman Simkin Award was awarded to the Best In Show recipient, C.M. Dupre, for her work in oil, "Peach Orchard 7".  The show was juried by Joseph Di Bella, Distinguished Professor of Art at the University of Mary Washington. 

                  


    The Art League, located in Alexandria, Virginia, has established The Shayna Heisman Simkin Award Program.  A cash award is to be given to the artist for "Best in Show" selected in a juried show.  The first award was presented in November 2001 for the Black & White Show.  The award is made annually in September.
