After working for the Federal Aviation Administration, I entered the United
States Air Force in 1983 flying as Instructor Navigator/ Bombardier aboard the
B-52G and the B-1B aircraft for the last 20 years. Many military moves and 3000
flight hours brought me to Las Vegas, NV.
In 1998 I completed the last requirement for the Federation Aeronautique
Internationale, Silver Badge, the 5 hour
duration, ridge soaring on the "house" ridge at
LVVSA with plenty of encouragement from my
new friends coming up to keep me company. Even the hawk that resides on the
ridge came out for a couple passes as 5 hours approached as if to say "Well
done junior birdman".
