Broad Goals:
Students will create a multimedia presentation to introduce themselves
to the class.
Instructional Outcomes:
Students will identify their individual characteristics in a class
multimedia project.

Length of Project: Two weeks
Project Description:
The students will scan objects using a digital scanner to create
a photo. After scanning the objects, the students will save the photo
in a folder titled: "All About Us." Using Professor Franklin
software, the students will open the photo and customize it with a border.
Then the students will save this photo on a disk and print a copy of the
photo. Next, the students will plan their presentation slide before
creating it on the computer. The students will write about themselves
by answering the following questions: What is your name? What
do you enjoy doing?
Using PowerPoint, the students will create the slide on the computer
and will place a copy of the photo without the border in the slide.
Then the students will record their names and individual characteristics.
Finally, the presentation will be saved on a CD, and background music will
be added to the presentation.
Culminating Activity:
The students will share the presentation “All About Us” with the
parents at Open House.
The students will place the printed photos on the bulletin board
to share with others.
A CD will be made for the class.
Evaluation:
The students will be evaluated using the "Rubric for Multimedia."
The students will be evaluated on the final product and will answer
the following questions about the project:
A. Did you enjoy working on this project? Why? Why not?
B. Most interesting things learned by doing this project.
C. Was the project too hard/ too easy/ just right?
D. Suggestions for improving this project.
