Contour gauge of EF-S mount profile
Lens and body check cut-cuts made from gauge profile (the BODY Cut out was "inserted" and used to test mirror clearance)
Cut out check (was cut out the about 1.5mm More glass protrusion than real lens)
To remove mount remove 6 screws (You'll need a SMALL Phillips)
Removed mount + paper used to protect glass when measuring profile
Regular EF vs EF-S mount profiles
Visual check of lens "overhang" with standard EF mount
I could not use the metal mount (as planned) because of screw-hole mismatch

Lens with new mount at 18mm
Lens at 18mm with glass exteding beyond mount

Lens testing on 10D @55mm
Lens testing on 10D @35mm
Lens testing on 10D @28mm
Lens testing on 10D @22mm (at this point the glass begins to protrude past the plastic mount)
Lens testing on 10D @18mm - max glass protrusion - I WAS SWEATING when I pressed the shutter - EVERYTHING OK
