The Sunflower Lions Club, through the efforts of one member, Chuck Parnell, and in cooperation with two Manhattan businesses, Advantage Computers and Staples, recycles computers. The donated computers are repaired and upgraded, as needed, and made Internet ready. These computers are given as gifts to individuals and families with limited resources or other reasons for such need.

The Sunflower Lion Club believes computers and electronic communication are essential for creating economic opportunity. This program enables recipients of a computer to access the resources of the Internet and to communicate with family members, friends, and the outside world.
