Overview

As our final project for Game Analysis and Playability we as a team including - Matthew Clough, Courtney Keene, Johnathan Denmead, Terry Blundell, Michael Morris, Jeffrey Price, Eric Willes, and Idren Ames - chose to analyze the Gameboy Advance title Capcom Classics MiniMix, a compilation of three beloved Capcom games originally released on the NES. Concluding that the titles, completely unchanged from their original versions and merely ported to the GBA, were in need of a modern overhaul while still keeping the original vision in tact, we drafted a concept document and re-design proposal including plans to bring life to the game with updated graphics, higher quality sound and music, and a few more gameplay options to expand playability.

Throughout this project we have assumed the roles of game designers and worked together as a team, contributing ideas and concepts with an overall successful redesign in mind. And in these closing comments, we would like to thank our instructor, Professor Constance Blanson, and Westwood College Online for the opportunity to work on such a project. And we would also like to give special recognition to the hardworking men and women that bring interactive entertainment to our computers, consoles, and handhelds - it is certainly no easy task.
