As I did the research for this page, I was absolutly amazed at what I found out about the little lady who usually sat quietly and just listened in our CACS meetings. If you have ever watched and enjoyed a National Geographic Channel (U.S.) special on television, it is likely that "Mickey" was a major participant in it's production. The message here is clear: "Listen and learn about people that you meet!" You may want to thank them while they are still living for some of the things that they have done in their lives. Marjorie M. Moomey, 77, a researcher from 1951 to 1994 for the magazine and television
programs of the National Geographic Society, died of Carcinoid Cancer June 17, 2002 at home in
