Welcome to Cactus Artware! Cactus Artware offers free to use software tools for teaching children and people of all ages the principles behind computer art and how to work with a personal computer. This software is meant to capture the joy we feel when putting our "Artistic vision" on paper. The aim of Cactus Artware is to show people of all ages that computer software can enable anyone to create original art of beautiful symmetry.

The philosophy of Cactus Artware is that teaching tools should be free to use. The tools found here exist for the sole purpose of showing the joy that can be discovered via art and the aid computer technology offers even the least artistic among us. Cactus Artware is non-commercial and does not derive any income from its offerings--the tools hosted here are free for all to use.

The first title offered is SpiraPaint! by John Cillis. SpiraPaint! is meant to mimic the beautiful drawings children were able to create over the decades with toys such as the Spirograph*. More on SpiraPaint! can be found here: SpiraPaint!

The second title offered is MirrorArt!, also by John Cillis. MirrorArt is meant to allow anyone, regardless of their artistic ability, to create beautiful drawings in seconds. More importantly it is meant to serve as a teaching tool to introduce children or anyone to basic computer skills such as working with the mouse or keyboard.
