Peppersauce

trip report by Joe Barber

Joe, Nik and Brooke    On Feb. 8th John Smith and David gave us a John, Mike and Toni tour of Peppersauce cave for our first time. Our group included Myself, Joe Barber, my son Nik, my daughter Brooke and a friend of the family, Karen. I also brought a friend of mine from our karate dojo, Mike and his daughter Toni and son Mason. There were two more CAG members there, Susan and Josh, if memory serves correctly.

Time to rest Mike and his kids have never been to a cave before and he is now addicted as well as his kids. They are all ready to do it again. Every one had a great time and no one was injured. The kids were a little tired after four hours but they did great.

Brooke and Mason     I was disapointed to see all the garbage that people leave behind, I found a garbage bag in the cave so we filled it up and packed it out. My family and Mikes family study Shaolin Kenpo, one of the Kenpo classes is called Arnis, which is fighting stick. Mike My daughter, Brooke found a bambo stick in the cave and managed to carry that stick through the cave and packed it out. The stick was probably someones broken walking stick. The Arnis sticks that we use in kenpo are made out of bambo. We named the her stick the, " Peppersauce Arnis Stick" and it hangs on her wall with the rest of her martial arts awards.

Thanks again John and David for taking us.
