Text Box: Bringing the Ministry of Above Rubies to Louisiana How We Began Jane Lukachick and Angela Decoteau brought Above Rubies to Louisiana in 2001 through a ladies' retreat. The annual event was later expanded to include husbands and children. From those humble beginnings stemmed a host of projects to encourage families. Above Rubies alumni enjoy family picnics, our newsletter (The Remnant), ladies' bible studies, and other fellowship opportunities. Our Mission Our mission is to equip mothers and fathers with the tools they need to raise up children of outstanding character and moral purity in homes where orderliness and peace abound. We desire to help families return to their biblical roots where fathers embrace their roles as visionary leaders and spiritual shepherds in their homes, mothers return to Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 womanhood, and children are trained up to be mighty in spirit.
