C and D Farm - Bethany, Oklahoma.
Our dream is to be part of a community that values health. This includes personal health, community health, and environmental health. To this end, we are starting
C and D Farm. Eating well is a great place to start in terms of promoting health. Healthy food comes from rich living soil. We are just beginning the journey of building
our soil by adding compost - some made on site, but at this point, much being bought at local garden stores. A bath tub full of red wigglers is helping to turn our
kitchen waste into soil. To see a program that is a great model for where we would like to be in 20 years - check out Path to Freedom
August is our first month to try marketing a small amount of produce. We have so much learning to do - but are happy to take the journey one small step at a time. Currently
we have some basil, and a few tomatoes available. We are selling through The Oklahoma Food Cooperative We use no pesticides or
herbicides on our garden - which of course increases the chances of crop failure - but we are willing to take this risk. We are at 8025 NW 30th St. Bethany, OK. We would love
visits from interested folks - just contact us first to make sure we are home.
Chris and I appear in the picture above - we are the owners/workers at C and D Farm.
