Hallie
was James' intuitive Agility
dog. They made a wonderful team and should have gone a long
way
together. Unfortunately, Hallie's agility career was cut
short
when she chose to break up a fight between two horses.
Somewhere
in the bedlam, she was stepped on and her leg was broken.
With
multiple compound fractures and crushed bone, Hallie lost her right
front leg. She was still one of our most agile Aussies, and at
full speed you couldn't tell she was missing a beat. Hallie
spent
her retirement as the resident puppy trainer, but she would come out
for a Tunnelers run now and then . It was great to see the old
girl
run. The pictures below are of Hallie still having a blast with
three legs, and only 12
years young! I don't think she ever cared that she was
missing a limb, she never did slow down. Hallie suffered a stroke
and was put to sleep at age 13 1/2. We will always miss her happy
smile.
