Carillon Aussies

Ivy is our rescue Aussie. She was the product of a backyard breeder, who certainly had no business in breeding dogs. When Ivy became sick as a tiny puppy, the breeder simply abandoned her at the Vet's, rather than take responsibility for her welfare. The Vet Tech. who took Ivy had the best of intentions, but Ivy's at the 'high' end of the activity spectrum. She really needed a home where she could be kept busy with a job, and so Ivy came to live with us when she was about 1 1/2 years old. Her social skills are a bit repressed, but she's improving all the time. James is currently working with Ivy in Agility, but his goal is to get her trained to a level where she is able to compete with our youngest daughter Alexandra. Those two should make quite a pair once Ivy is ready. Ivy's often called by her nickname "Ivy-zandra", since she tends to follow Alexandra around like an extra shadow.
