General Information: Band Council is student run and meets on Wednesdays at lunch in the Band Room. We discuss fund raisers that the band participates in, community service activities, and general concerns, both positive and negative, that the students feel should be addressed.

Each year the Band Council organizes the Band's optional participation in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. It is an 14-hour, over-night event which takes place in April. Each "team" is given a plot on the football field of the host school where we set up tents, tarps and sleeping bags. Different teams sell food or have other fund raisers (all profits go to the American Cancer Society). Students receive a T-shirt for participation, as well as a complimentary dinner and breakfast.
The Band Council organizes car washes throughout the summer prior to band camp, as well as other fun activities to help integrate new members.
