William Cleasby Milburn     1902-1982
William Cleasby was born 2 September 1902. After attending the Silksworth Infants School, he was enrolled at Silksworth Council Mixed School on 9 January 1911. He finished school on 30 August 1916, having attained the age of 14. He became a policeman in Rochdale, Lancashire. In 1932, at age 30, he married Dorothy Hill. After her death, he married Hilda Seddon.
