Honda EU2000i external fuel tank

After reading a few ways to connect 2 Honda EU2000i generators to an external fuel tank, I decided to give it a try.  This method is not my invention, just my version.  I bought 2 new fuel caps and drilled them out to accept a 1/4" bulkhead tubing fitting.  This makes for a good tight fit, rather than just gluing plastic tubing in them.  I then purchased a 1/4" gasoline tee and a small engine fuel filter from my local auto parts store.  The fuel tubing was purchased from Home Depot in the lawn mower section.  I had an old 5 gallon, "Gott" brand, plastic fuel can on hand.  I cut a piece of stainless steel 1/4" tubing and inserted this into the vent hole of the fuel can, perfect fit.  With everything in place, it was time to give it a try.  I filled the fuel tank on the Hondas, (the less air space, the sooner fuel will be drawn into their tanks).  Screwed on the modified caps, inserted the tubing into the 5 gallon can and started both generators.  The fuel lines filled up and started feeding both generators after about 15 minutes of running time with eco off.  I should now be able to sleep in AC comfort all night with out having to refuel the generators.  You may also notice the Tach/Hour meter.  I purchased 2, (806-100-0222), of these from SenDec to keep track of running time.  The tach also lets me know which generator is working harder.
