1.1.0 (August 25, 2002)

• Initial release - successor to CCN Plus application
• Application carbonized to run in OS X. Minor changes to some interface elements to accommodate windows in OS X.
• Changed calendar and daynotes to use full month names instead of 3 character month abbreviation for foreign language compatibility
• Clicking on days in the weekly view now opens the daynote for that day.
• Can now stop an active timer - only stops the active timer not the repetitions if those are turned on.

2.0 (July 5, 2004)

• No limit on number of daynotes
• Font size can be changed on the weekly window

• Opening a duplicate daynote window brings existing window forward instead of the old error message
• Bringing any CCN X window forward from background brings all CCN X windows forward

• CCN X will automatically read the CCN+ Daynotes file and create the CCN X Daynotes file when CCN X quits normally. The CCN+ Daynotes file can be deleted after the CCN X Daynotes file has been created and CCN X is not running.
• There is an new preferences file named CCNX Prefs II. The old preferences file, CCNX Prefs can be deleted. Preferences will have to be reset on the preferences window as the old ones can't be used.
• Font size can be changed directly on the General note and user notes windows using the popup. What happened to the font menus? Some features in OS X are not available to OS 8/9 and there are many CCN X users running OS 8/9. The font menus were a little unwieldy and overkill since CCN X is not a text editor or word processor.Something functional yet simple, and flexible enough to use in both X and OS 9 was needed. OS X has an elegant solution but it doesn't run in OS 8/9.

2.1 (July 9, 2004)

Two or Three serious bugs noted by users are the primary reason for making another version available so soon after 2.0.
• Bug fix: Creating holidays could sometimes drop a daynote if weekly view was open
• Bug fix: ListView had garbage data when list was too small to scroll - fixed.
• Create holidays is now a sheet window on the preferences window
• Help tags added to Calendar, Weekly, Listnotes, Events, some preferences, Recur and Register windows

2.2 (July 17, 2004)

• Display units added to events, so elapsed time can be displayed in Years or Months or Days.
(this required a structure change that might force users with existing event data to reenter it)

2.3 (July 26, 2004)

2.4 (September, 2004)

2.4 (December, 2004)

• Events window:

1) Number of Events now virtually unlimited ----per user request
2) Uses standard date control for event date entry. Event Date displays month in local language

6) Events created in CCN X versions prior 2.6 are automatically used.

Please note: The old "CCN X Events" file (used by CCN X prior to 2.6) is deleted and replaced by "CCN X Events II".

 2.85 (April, 2005)

• Addition: Events can be added as daynotes for the current year by control clicking on them in the event window.
• Addition: Text color for user notes via control click
• Addition: Holiday daynotes & Event daynotes (i.e. daynotes created via the event window) can be assigned their own color on the calendar
• Change: Bringing all windows to front when application is brought to foreground is now a preference option. Used to be a default behavior
• Change: General note consolidated into user notes. Clicking on blank date opens most recently accessed user note (from recent items menu)
• Change: Menus reorganized to group all daynote related tasks and all user note tasks.

• Addition: Multiple events can be selected(via shift or cmd click) for adding daynotes (via control click)
• Addition: Preference to display seconds on the calendar. Clicking on time toggles seconds on/off
• Change: CCN X now uses the time format selected in the OS System Preferences (International option/Format tab) , so the preference window option has been removed
• Change: Recurred items added to existing daynotes have a carraige return prepended to separate the new entry in the daynote
• Bug Fix: Default button on preferences window now responds to enter/return

2.95 (September, 2005)

• Daynote monthly view enhanced
1) Window resizing added (maximum only limited by monitor size) This improves visibiliy of the daynotes on each date
2) A month can now be printed with all daynotes visible by resizing the window before printing. Depending on monitor size, it may have to be scaled smaller (Page Setup on File menu). Landscape mode recommended.
3) Cosmetic changes made to improve appearance

 3.00 (November, 2005)

• OS X 10.3 + required, OS 9 & Classic *no* longer supported. Previous release (2.95) available on web site for OS 9 

• Unicode text entry support added for daynotes

• The limitation of 255 characters per Daynote has been removed. It is now unlimited

• New Daynote Search added to accomodate looking through now unlimited text in daynotes

• A daynote conversion is necessary to accomodate the new format  - see Daynote conversion below.

• Daynote window now resizeable with live resize.

• Daynote List window now resizeable to  accomodate daynotes with more text

 3.01 (November 26, 2005)
• New feature:   Time logger added. Counts up (instead of down). Useful to track project time on a
computer. Allows pause/resume and logs to text data file 

 3.02 (December 14, 2005) Time zone monitor. Tracks two time zones and displays current time for reference. Simple but helpful for travelers. Like the Time logger feature in version 3.01, this was a registered user request.

3.06  (March  2006)

• New: Spell checking for daynotes

• New: 24 hr timer now uses system notification

• Change: Reference manual added into package instead of download

• Change: All preferences now stored using Core Foundation to standard plist file

Special note: An daynote export to iCal file format (requested by many) is 90% complete but not ready for this release. It will be coming soon. iCal files can also be opened on Windows machines by Outlook. 

 3.07  (March 31,   2006)

• Bug Fix: No startup possible for unregistered trial users. Switch to plist introduced bug.

3.08  (April 9,   2006)
• Bug Fix: Automatic window reopening at CCN X launch not working between shutdown and startup of machine
 

3.10 (April 21,   2006)
• New: Export of daynotes to iCalendar format (iCal). File may be imported into Outlook™ on Windows™
• Bug Fix: Banded lines in the spell checker databrowser not supported in OS 10.3. Banded only used in 10.4+
• Bug Fix: Opening list view with zero daynotes caused a spurious error message
• Bug Fix: Recurring a daynote that hasn't been saved caused unpredictable results.
• Cosmetic Fix: for 3 character day names on weekly view 

Changes for 3.13  (June 24,  2006)
• Changes to User Notes:
1)  Now use unicode scrolling text fields. Text will look sharper with Quartz windows
2)  Window resize is now live
3) Text capacity for a User Note is virtually unlimited
4) Customers who created user notes with earlier versions of CCN X (i.e. prior to 3.13) will need to convert them before they can be opened in CCN X 3.13. Go to www.fastq.com/~brilor  to obtain the conversion program

• REGISTRATION HAS CHANGED starting with this release. These are internal changes only. Please read carefully.
1) There have been free upgrades to CCN X since 2003. With this release registered users are entitled to 1 year of free updates.
2) All registered users will need to re-enter their registration code.
3) All registered users will receive 1 year of updates starting with this version. Renewals every year
4) Registration and registration renewal price is now $5 USD for unlimited use of registered version and free updates for 1 year. 

Changes for 3.14  (August 10,  2006)
• Change: Default for Weekly view changed to Small Sys Font
• Bug Fix: User Note issue with font drop down
• Bug Fix: Could not create a user note in some cases (rolled into version 3.13 two days after 3.13 was released)

Changes for 3.15  (November,  2006)
• New: Font size and colors now available for daynote text.
• Change: All daynote font sizes and font colors now set on daynote window. This allows each daynote to have a different color and/or font size. The font size on the weekly window (which applies to all visible daynotes) no longer makes sense and was removed.

Daynote Conversion ( in version 3.15 )
This conversion is necessary to support the new font/color daynote features in version 3.15.
If the daynote file from the previous 3.xx releases of CCN X is found (named CCNX Daynotes III), it is automatically converted to the new format and a new file (CCNX Daynotes IV) is created.  A separate file is created for the conversion, so the old file is still available to use with the previous version of CCN X.  Once you are satisfied all the notes are working with the new file, the prior CCN X Daynotes file maybe trashed.
Please note:  CCN X 3.15 +  will only convert a daynote file created by versions 3.0 - 3.14 of CCN X. If you are/were running an older version of CCN X prior to 3.0, an additional conversion(s) to arrive at a 3.0 format will be necessary. Please send me an email for conversion assistance

Changes for 3.17  (January,  2007)
• Change: Daynote now prints just the note and not the window and the note text
• Bug Fix: Fonts/colors for daynotes were not working correctly.
• Bug Fix: 12 month calendar window did not display correctly in some cases - rolled into 3.15 on 11/28/06
