CGARC operates a weather station and APRS Node at the site of the WA4ORT repeater.  This system collects local weather data (indoor/outdoor temperature, wind speed, wind direction, barometric pressure and rainfall) and makes it available both on the Internet and via the repeater. 

The system consists of the following equipment:

Weather Station: Peet Brothers Ultimeter 2100

APRS Weather Encoder: Byonics WXTrak

Radio: Yaesu FT-1802M

Weather information may be transmitted on the 146.85 repeater using the following commands:
