| Node # 311671 |
CGARC's Echolink node is located at the QTH of N4CI and is operating as
N4CI-R. It consists of a Yaesu
FT-7800R and an Ultimate Linking Interface (ULI) board,
purchased from WB2REM at
ILINKBOARDS.COM. This board
has many more features than our previous West Mountain Radio
board and is a much better choice for an unattended node. Among
other things, the ULI board can monitor the status of our link
computer and reboot it if necessary, preventing a hung or
inaccessible link caused by a computer malfunction.
The repeater is configured to transmit an 82.5 Hz CTCSS tone only when a signal is present at the receiver input.
This way, Echolink does not retransmit repeater announcements,
system messages, or courtesy tones.
Feel free to use the link whenever it is active.
