The ocotillo (oh-ko-TEE-oh), our company's namesake, was my favorite Sonoran desert cactus. Then I learned it's a thorny shrub whose habitat is not limited to the Sonoran desert. So, here are some photographs of my favorite thorny shrub. I took them at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix and around my neighborhood in April 1999.
Click each photograph for a full sized view and some information about the ocotillo.
