QUESTIONS & RULINGS
| Q: Can
I use cards with the Tag Team icon? A: No. These can only be used in a Tag Team match, where you have more than one player on your team. Right To Censor is considered a superstar, just like The Rock or Kurt Angle. Right To Censor vs. Dead Man, Inc. is a perfectly acceptable game. NOTE: The exception is card which can be played only if your Superstar card says the Tag Team Belts are the only ones playable by this deck. Example: Little She Devil, Stackplex. |
| Q: What
is the Trademark Finisher for Right To Censor? A: They do not have one - instead, they have a VERY powerful card: Right To Interfere. |
|
Q: For
cards like Ovicular Fortitude and Busted Wide Open, is
Right To Censor considered 'female'? |
| Q: Can
I use Censored to reverse a reversal? A: Technically, no - reversals are NOT played on your turn, so you could not reverse a Step Aside, Manager Interferes, No Chance In Hell, and the like. |
| Q: ...what
if my opponent plays Ref K.O.'d? A: This is the exception to the above rule, as Ref K.O.'d has special text that overrides normal rules. So if you opponent attempted a Strike, and you played Step Aside, but your opponent played Ref K.O.'d to continue their turn, you could play Censored to stop this. |
ANALYSIS
|
In The Ring: Right To Censor is a vigilant group that truly believes in what they do - they are not trying to be good or evil, they are just crusaders in their own twisted way. However, because they never travel alone, someone is always lurking around ringside to prevent advantageous plans by their opponents. In The Game: While RTC is restricted from having Face or Heel cards in their deck, they can reverse any Face or Heel action card simply by discarding one card. Also, once per turn, they can put their hand at the bottom of their deck, and draw the same number of cards from the top. Using All Foils/Uniques: There is no Trademark Finisher for Right To Censor - instead, they have the incredibly-powerful Right To Interfere - since it is Mid-Match, it can be played at any point, as long as the conditions of the card are met, granting an extra 7F to the Ring area as well! We're Here To Clean Up... puts cards in hand while either giving either your overall Fortitude Rating or your Damage a one-turn boost. We're Doing This For Your Own Good can help put one card into near-unblockable range while increasing it's damage - *and* you get to search your deck for it! When played correctly, What's Wrong With You People can take key actions from your opponent's deck, perhaps preventing recovery or an unreversible attack against you. And since RTC cannot use the special Reversals provided by Face and Heel, they have two cards capable of reversing any maneuver: Censored! is awesome in that you reverse any CARD (Action or Maneuver), then strip their hand and deck of any further copies; and This Is Unacceptable Behavior! can reverse when overturned, but when played as an action, gives a nice 5-card recovery. Best of all, they can prevent use of any 1 Raw Deal card: Just Bring It!, Apply Illegal Leverage, or possibly a Superstar's card such as Stephanie Interferes or Rattlesnake Rulz! Using Some/No Foils/Uniques: This is the only Superstar whose 'primary' foil (usually, a Trademark Finisher) should be used in each and every deck! Whether you are Aggro, Control, etc. - the ability to deal 7D on a reversal should never be passed up, especially when it doesn't have to be played from hand! Likewise, both of the omni-reversal cards (Censored! and Behavior!) should be in every deck, especially in lieu of a Manager Interferes, since Heel cards are not allowed. Censorship Match should be in every deck - it's too strong a card to pass up using! The other cards are somewhat optional - For Your Own Good's Fortitude requirement may seem a bit high for your deck, though considering the Right To Interfere gives half of that, it may not be so unrealistic. What's Wrong should usually be kept, it for nothing else than reducing an opponent's deck by 6 cards; and We're Here To Clean Up merits the same rating, as it's good for card advantage even in a control environment. Deck Ideas: While the most obvious plan for this deck seems to be Control/Lockdown, with the heavy reversals and restrictive Special Ability, there is a common theme of late to use Throw Into The Corner Turnbuckle along with heavy Grapples and Superplex. At GenCon 2001, game designer Barron Vangor Toth used a Strike-heavy deck focusing on Busted Wide Open, setting up with the Knee Lift/Clothesline combination. One thing is sure, though - almost everyone agrees that since Clean Break is not an option, RTC should have several copies of Over Sell Maneuver as the only means of preventing Clutch Onto Opponent/Apply Illegal Leverage combos. Recommended Stipulations: The only excuse for not playing Censorship Match as your Stipulation is not owning a copy - no other Stipulation comes close to the strength of this card. Watch Out For: Triple H's Cerebral Assassin (and naturally, Critical Injury) can really be damaging, especially if the opportunity is used to play strong Heel/Face cards against RTC. For anything else, it depends on the style of deck you're building. How I Play: Use of Right To Interfere to get 7F allows for Throw'ing into Grapples which start at 7F (Neckbreaker, Monkey Flip, German Suplex, and Brain Buster to slow Two Man Power Trip) to quickly raise the Fortitude for either a Press Slam or a Superplex - but since you can't always play RTI, there are Ego Boosts and a few key low-F cards like Double Leg Takedown. |
