HI! I’m Charlie and I am glad to meet you. Of course, don’t take it too personal, as I am really glad to meet anyone. If you’re taking a census or something official – please note that the name is really Charlene Frances Jeanne. (I am named after the hurricanes Charley, Frances and Jeanne who all hit my area when I was living outside.) But if you want to be friends, call me Charlie.
Just think, a little while ago, I didn’t even have a litter box to tinkle in and now look at me: I have my own web page. My computer skills are just a bit basic so stick with me as I learn. Hardest part so far was getting my nails trimmed so I could use the keyboard.
If you haven’t heard my story yet, in October 2004 I was performing outside the High Springs Community Theatre enthralling the cast of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!” with my most convincing “starving stray cat in parking lot” routine. Well, the Ivory Tickler for the show fell for it big time and here I am - with a home at last in Gainesville, Florida. Their show actually sounded pretty good from the parking lot so I hope you check out what they do up there. Just tell ‘em that “Charlie sent you” when you buy your tickets.
You can tell by my left ear that I am an alumna of Operation Catnip This is my badge of honor and it makes me really really proud to have it. These people volunteer a LOT of their time and energy to help out us homeless cats. Face it, being somewhat groggy and perhaps a tad bit irritable when we are actually in their presence, not many of us ever get the chance to really THANK THEM ourselves. Having been an unwed teenage mother myself, I want them to know how much they are appreciated!
I was born sometime in 2003 and am going to choose April 1st as the day to celebrate my birthday (cause you'd have to be a fool NOT to celebrate me). My adoption day is October 11, 2004 and we'll celebrate that too! When I went home with the Ivory Tickler, I weighed 6 pounds and 4 oz. They tell me that I am a “dilute calico” but I’d say that I’m gray with some real pretty orange tabby highlights and distinctive white feet. I like to play a lot but my most favorite hobby is eating. I am a fairly agreeable critter but am not to sure yet about getting along with the other felines and the D-O-G is something else.
