| Department of Civil &
Environmental Engineering,
University of California, Irvine. |
Until July, 2002 I was a doctoral student working for Prof. Gerry Pardoen. My job description has changed a bit as a result of the title change. I am currently responsible for maintaining an independent research program, as well as for teaching courses. My dissertation is now completed and submitted
A description of my present and past research
is available for your perusal. There is also a (more or less)
up-to-date
list of my publications (and unpublished works) here.
If you are looking for a structural engineering faculty member, I may well
be what you are looking for!
Check out my CV (PDF format)
and see what you think. Of course, I'm also open to industry jobs and
post-docs,
so don't hesitate just because I'm looking for a
faculty position.
My dissertation research was on
near-fault ground motion effects in R/C bridge structures, with a
focus on effects on system reliability.
The link above is to a
complete PDF copy of the dissertation, so make sure you have plenty of
time before you follow it.
I've been involved in lots of student
organizations over the past eight years or so (if you include my
undergraduate days),
so I've got a page
that talks about them, too.
I'm going to be working on a personal page in the near future, with photos and trip reports from my various backpacking and hiking excursions. Look for it later in January, or maybe early February. The term just started and I expect that I'll get bogged down again.
There are also some bookmarks in which you might or might not be interested.
