"Blue Thunder Rides Again"

You are looking at the last picture of the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado.

1977 Chevy Cheyenne

You are looking at a 1977 Chevrolet Cheyenne C-10. This 2 wheel drive truck is featuring a new metallic blue paint job and bed cover. The wheels are a set of aluminum Progressive rims sporting a set of BFG P265/50R15. The drive train is not stock yet holds true for the bowtie fans. It’s a screaming 350 HO crate motor backed up by a TH-700R4 transmission. The mill is fed with a “stock” Quadrajet 4 barrel spread bore carburetor. The cab is all stock except for after market door panels, new head liner, sun visors, and after market air conditioning. Some have asked what's under the paint so above I show a picture of it when I got it. Mostly it was sunburned no rust through.

Cheyenne at the Body Shop

As you can see this is no ordinary “hey I painted it, paint job”. The bed, doors, and front end was pulled off for the professional touch. It was painted at “Frank’s Car Company” in Cleveland, Ohio. His credentials for great paint work are immeasurable. The frame was left original; since the truck was from out west it looked nice so it was left alone. The goal was a stock look with mild custom drive train. This truck is no trailer queen it was built for driving so you may find some road wear as I pass you on the interstate, but it’s a real head turner.

Cheyenne Currently

Currently, this is what “Blue Thunder” looks like. The truck got its nick name from the dual glass pack exhaust system it exhales from. In the above photos the truck is sporting a set of stock Chevy Rally wheels with Kelly Safari P235/75R15 tires. Also added were a set of front bumper guards. Next to it is a 1999 Silverado with a phantom front end and if your wondering that one is the daily driver so it spends most of it’s time looking dirty. Imagine that a mild custom that’s dirty, remember life is to short to just look at them. Though you will see the wheels change with the seasons, the snowy winters cause the city to dump salt on the roads in Northern Ohio so keeping your hauler clean is quite a challenge. Below is a picture of the truck with a subtle change. Here you can see what it looks like with a set of BF Goodrich 31.5X10.5X15 tires mounted on Progressive wheels. This change fills out the wheel wells. In addition to giving the truck the an overall aggressive look.
