No Barton or Bartholemew Clayton shows up in any census. Samuel Clayton (1800 Census, Chester Co., Londongrove), has the right mix of people (10010-11011), plus there is a Samuel Walker (10520-04020) on the same page. However, a Samuel Clayton is supposed to be a son of Joshua Clayton. Ann Ullman's 1870 census entry indicates both of her parents were foreign born, consistent with the Bible information but not with being part of the large Clayton clan in the Philadelphia area.
