Census entries repeatedly indicate Crawford Thompson's birth year as 1832-33, but his death record indicates 1825 instead.

Constable's Sale of Real and Personl PropertyAccording to St. Mary's Families, Suttles Range would be in St. Clements' Hundred, about a half mile north-northwest of present day Chaptico, which is close by Christ Church, where Crawford Thompson is supposed to be buried.
By virtue of two writs of Venditioni Exponas issued by a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland, in and for Saint Mary's county, one of the suit of John H. Chapalier, against the goods and chattels, lands and tenements of Crawford Thompson, and Thomas L. Davis; and one at the suit of William America and George T. Burroughs against the goods and chattels, lands and tenements of Crawford Thompson, and to me directed; and by virtue of two writs of Fieri Facias issued by a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland, in and for Saint Mary's county, one at the suit of Mattingly & Farr against the goods and chattels, lands and tenements of Crawford Thompson; and one at the suit of John E. Farr against the goods and chattels, lands and tenements of Crawford Thompson, Thomas L. Davis and Francis L. Mattingly and to me directed; I have seized and taken in execution all the right, title, interest, claim and demand, at law and in quity, of the said Crawford Thompson, Thomas L. Davis and Francis L. Mattingly in and to the following property to wit:
One tract or parcel of land, called and known as SUTTLE RANGE being in the fourth Election District of Saint Mary's county, afoesaid, and containing 30 Acres more or less.
Also, 1 Sorrel Mare; 1 Yoke Oxen; 1 Ox cart, 1 Cow, 1 lot of Corn, 1 crop of Tobacco; 1 lot of Blade Fodder, 1 lot Top Fodder, 1 lot of Corn Shucks.
And, I hereby give notice, that on Friday, the 2nd of March next, on the premises of the said Crawford Thompson between the hours of 9 o'clock, A.M., and 5 o'clock, P.M., I will expose to public asuction in the above described property, so seized and taken in execution to the highest bidder for cash - to satisfy said debts, interest and costs, due and to become due thereon.
