Good with K-2 (Thanks Seagull!)

Spider Web: In a circle, take a ball of yarn and hold the end. Say "Good Morning/Afternoon..." and the name of the girl that you are rolling/tossing it to. Continue back and forth across the circle so by the end of the game the group has a spider web. You can work together to lift it high over your head. You can tug on the yarn and talk about how everyone is connected or ask what happens to the web if someone let's go.

Bean Bag Circle: This can be done with a bean bag, small ball, or stuffed animal. As an introduction game, each girl introduces herself and tosses the ball to someone across from her. The next girl introduces herself and tosses the ball to someone else until everyone has been introduced. Go around the circle again, tossing it to the same person but this time saying the name of the person you are tossing it to. For older girls, have them continue around the circle tossing to the same person each time but when they've gone around at least once, add a second or even third ball/bean bag every now and then. On the first time round, have each person put their hands behind their back once they've had a turn.

All ages

People Hunt/Human Bingo: On a piece of paper mark off a grid with squares about one inch in size. In each of the boxes put a statement such as "find someone who can tie their shoes" or "find someone that has traveled to a World Scouting center." You can come up with any number of categories. Give everyone a copy of the sheet and a pencil or crayon. Set a time limit and boundaries and let them go! They have to find someone in the group that matches each category and get their signature or mark X.

============

It's a lot of fun and works for all ages depending on the categories you choose.

Crayon Circle: Seated in a circle, give each girl some crayons. Then explain that each color represents a cue to say something about themselves. Take turns around the circle saying something about each color.

Examples: Red - tell something about your family
Green
- tell something that you did over the summer
Yellow - tell what you like to do in your spare time
Blue
- tell about a pet you have or would like to have
Orange - tell a most embarassing moment
Purple - tell something goofy you did.
