Restaurants

Please feel free to try out some of our favorite restaurants while you are in town.  We hope you will enjoy these as much as we do!

Norfolk:

No Frill, No Grill- 806 Spotswood Ave (757) 627-4262: American, Casual Dining, Smoke-Free.  This place serves big portions but has everything from sandwiches (the teriyaki grilled tuna pita is our favorite) to traditional dinner entrees.  Open for lunch and dinner.

Freemason Abbey-209 W Freemason St. (757) 622-3966: 135 year-old renovated church that is now a restaurant.  They serve both lunch and dinner (but are also open on Sunday for brunch).  You must try their Mozart cake for dessert!

Fellini’s Gourmet Pizza Café- 3910 Colley Ave (757) 625-3000:  Gourmet pizzas are the specialties at this restaurant that also serves an array of homemade pastas, as well as Caesar and Greek salads. They are open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner and open on Sunday for dinner only.

Baker’s Crust- 330 W 21st St (757) 625-3600:  A variety of fresh made breads, soups and crepes are fantastic at this restaurant.  Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Virginia Beach:

Croakers- 3629 Shore Drive (757) 363-2490: Seafood, Casual Dining.  Reservations suggested.  This is our favorite seafood restaurant.  Bring your appetite…portions are pretty big.  We love their crab dip, and haven’t ever been disappointed in the many seafood/pasta dishes we’ve tried over the years.

Chicks Oyster Bar- 2143 Vista Circle (757) 481-5757: Seafood, Casual Dining, Smoke-free.  This waterfront restaurant features great she crab soup, crab cakes, tuna, shrimp and many more fresh seafood dishes.

Hot Tuna- 2817 Shore Drive (757) 481-2888: Seafood, Casual Dining.  This restaurant is available for dinning after 4 pm and has bands on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Buffalo Beach- 501 Hilltop Plaza Shopping Center (757) 422-9464: American, Casual Dining, Smoke-Free.  Features 20 flavors of Jumbo Wings, Cajun and Jerk Chicken sandwiches, salads, and more.  You can also watch sports on their big screen!

Tradewinds (for Sunday Brunch) - 2800 Shore Drive (757) 496-0731: Oceanfront Dining (10am-2pm) at Virginia Beach Resort Center.  This is the best buffet for Sunday Brunch.  It has everything from soup, salad, oysters, clams, shrimp, sushi, Roast Beef and Ham Carving Stations, made to order omelets, waffles, a donut making machine and wide assortment of breads and desserts (including chocolate covered strawberries)!
