Step#2 of ChristianArmour.net

This website is devoted to helping Christians properly defend their faith.
"For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist" (LUKE 21:15)

The second step any Christian must take in understanding and defending their faith is learning how to recognize which people, groups, churches, or organizations are actually practicing and/or preaching Christianity!  Believe it or not, Christianity is perhaps the most imitated religion in the world.  Quite a few faiths claim to be Christian, but when you learn what they are actually teaching, and compare it to what is written in The Holy Bible, you begin to see that, in fact, they are not Christian at all!  A favorite trick of the Atheists and non-believers is to quote the beliefs of these "false Christians" and then compare those false beliefs to The Word Of God in an attempt to show some kind of contradiction.  If you have followed Step #1, however, then you already know what The Bible actually says and what it does not.   Nevertheless, there are quite a few resources available online to help you identify these false groups and you should make yourself aware of them.

http://www.watchman.org/watchman.htm
"Watchman Fellowship is an independent Christian research and apologetics ministry focusing on
new religious movements, cults, the occult and the New Age. We serve the Christian and secular community as a resource
for cult education, counseling, and non-coercive intervention."

http://www.cultwatch.com/
"Cultwatch is a para-church organization made up of people from different Christian denominations.
(Para-church means not founded, owned, or controlled by any one church group.) Cultwatch's two main aims are to help
the people trapped in the cults and to warn people about the cult danger before they are ensnared.
Cultwatch is a Christian based organization dedicated to helping people from all walks of life."

You should always remember that attending a church or being a member of a Christian organization is not a requirement of being Christian!  Attending church is merely a means to worship amongst believers and to enjoy fellowship.   Any group or organization that insists you must give money to be saved, or attempts to command you to do or say something that is not in accordance with The Word is a Cult and is not Christian.  Congratulations, you now have another piece of Christian Armour in your defensive arsenal!  Whenever you feel ready, please click the SWORD below to move on to Step #3!
