Welcome to the Chromosome 3q Registry. The focus of our group is to provide information and support to families and friends who have a child or an adult affected by a Chromosome 3q deletion. When many of us first learned of our child's rare chromosomal deletion we had to do a great deal of searching for answers, common symptoms, information about chromosomes, as well as other children with the same type of deletion. Many of us have also researched ways to help our children thrive and are hoping to share some of these things with you.

While no two children are exactly alike (even with the same deletion), we do notice there are many similarities and overlapping symptoms of all these deletions. We know how devastating it can be initially to find out your child has a chromosomal deletion or any genetic defect for that matter. We are hoping that if you are a new parent to a child with a chromosome 3q deletion, you will have more information to start out with and that it may help prepare you for some of what lies ahead.
